April Tags

I wound up doing 2 tags because I was having so much fun with this one.  I love working with watercolors.

These are definately my favorite tags so far, and I had so much fun making them.  I starded with a textured piece of watercolor paper and taped it down to my work surface to prevent warping.

               

I sprayed the paper liberally with water and then using my water color markers and the air brush bulb I sprayed the surface with 3 shades of blue.

After I dried the paper I stamped it with a flower from Card Word Puzzle by CTMH.  I used archival black ink so I would be able to do some more watercoloring with my new watercolor crayons. 

Using Score tape I adhered the watercolor panel to a #8 tag cut from Maroon cardstock.  Using the Sophisticated cartridge I cut the word "fever" on a pane from the same cardstock.  Using left over glitter paper from christmas I cut the word "spring" from another cricut cartridge (I can't remember which one).  I put it together and added sparkle paper circle to the top for the hole.  

I repeated the whole process with the second tag sizing it down for a #6 tag.  All in all I just love them!!!

March tag

This one is a little late.  I did it last month but it was so busy I never got to post it.  Which is okay since I didn't get any pictures of the process.  I took them after the fact...

I loved the butterfly on Tim's tag but I can't think of butterflies without thinking of catapillar's.

I started with a background I already made and then die cut tree limbs from Spellbinders Cherry blossoms.  

Then using a  pipe cleaner and some fuzy fibers to make a catapillar.

Then I cut a butter fly from foam to create a stamp using a cricut cartridge, and one from pattern paper.  Using the pattern paper as a template I did some perfect pearls butterflies around the edge.

  

I added a silver plate with bakers twine and added the fuzzy fibers and bakers twine to the top.

I really like the end product
